SOLUTION: The shift operation mechanism 100 includes shift fork shafts 41, 42 and 43 laid across ON a transmission case 3 and protruded to the side ON one end and engagement parts formed at one ends of the shift fork shafts 41, 42 and 43, a shift lever 70 the top end of which is supported to the side in which one ends of the shift fork shafts 41, 42 and 43 are protruded to rotate freely through a support member 80, and an engagement protrusion 70d that is provided at the shift lever 70 and can be engaged with one of the engagement parts formed at each one end of the shift fork shafts 4142 and 43. In the shift operation mechanism 100 that slides the shift fork shafts 41, 42 and 43 by the operation of the shift lever 70 for shift operation, the support member 80 is configured by one flat plate member and the flat plate member is folded to form supports 81 and 81 rotating in a vertical direction and supports 84 and 84 rotating in the right and left direction.
