PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat body that causes no reservoir of coating etc., on a wall surface dividing a plate holding part, and the reel seat body in which a decorative plate is simply and finely held.SOLUTION: A sheet surface 12 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the reel seat body 10. A plate holding part 20 is formed on the sheet surface 12. The plate holding part 20 comprises a recess formed on the sheet surface 12. A diverticulum part 22 is provided on the corner of the bottom 21 of the plate holding part 20. The diverticulum part 22 is circularly formed. The inner wall surface shape of the diverticulum part 22 is semicircular.
