The prosthesis has an articular element in form of a prosthetic humeral head (1) equipped with a pin (3) on a lower surface. A prosthetic stem (2) is inserted in a humerus and equipped with a central cavity (6) on an upper surface. An axial insert in form of a stem is placed vertically in the cavity in contact with the pin. The pin has a small lug (4) on one of side surfaces, where the lug penetrates, by sliding motion, into a recess on one of walls of the cavity to block vertical displacement of the pin. The insert blocks horizontal recoil of the pin by vertical sliding motion.
