The invention provides for the treatment of diseases or disorderscharacterized by cells expressing the CD40 membrane glycoprotein. Theinvention provides methods for the treatment of various diseases or disorderscharacterized by cells expressing CD40 with a combination of an agent causesthe depletion of cells expressing CD40 and a second agent which causes thedepletion of cells expressing the CD20 membrane antigen. Pharmaceuticalcompositions and articles of manufacture such as kits comprising the agentsand combinations thereof are also provided.
