The present invention is about the whitening and antioxidant pharmacological compounds containing an extract of Allium hookeri or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient. More specifically, the extract of Allium hookeri leaf or root, or the fraction thereof shows significant antioxidant activities, poses no cytotoxicity, prevents melanin formation, as well as significantly reduces the activation of Tyrosinase.
