The present invention relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibres, in particular the hair, which consists in applying to a part of the keratin fibres, by means of a stencil, a composition comprising at least one hydrophobic film-forming polymer, at least one volatile solvent and at least one pigment, so as to form, after drying, a coloured pattern on the said fibres.
