PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a material that can be easily introduced into diet and can prevent and/or improve a hypertension symptom and to provide a composition in a form where the material is industrially effectively used.SOLUTION: A hypotensive agent contains &egr；-viniferin, plant extracts containing &egr；-viniferin, and a material of at least one selected from collagen peptide, chicken gristle extracts, thioctic acids and yeast hydrolysates together with these, as active ingredients. An oral composition is prepared by compounding the above hypotensive agent.
