Disclosed is a savoury water-in-oil emulsion comprising a fat phase and an aqueous phase and having a flavour selected from cheese, dairy, meat, fish, spice, herbs, vegetable, nuts, sauces and spreads, bakery products, pet foods, beverages, and other savoury flavours, wherein the aqueous phase comprises at least 50% dissolved solids and the dissolved solids comprise bulk sweetener, and wherein the bulk sweetener forms at least 60 percent of the emulsion.
