Disclosed is the compound of formula (I), known by the name of diethylhexyl butamido triazone, characterised by a low content of impurities deriving from the preparation process, and by low APHA colour values. The compound according to the invention is obtained by reacting cyanuryl chloride with one equivalent of para-aminobenzoic acid, reacting the intermediate obtained with two equivalents of 2-ethylhexyl-4- aminobenzoate, activating the carboxy group, for example by formation of acyl chloride, and final reaction with tert-butylamine. The compound according to the invention is a UV-B filter which can be advantageously used in cosmetic formulations.Linvention concerne le composé de formule (I), connu sous le nom de diéthylhexylbutamidotriazone, caractérisé par une faible teneur en impuretés dérivées du procédé de préparation et par de faibles valeurs de couleur APHA. Le composé selon linvention est obtenu par mise en réaction de chlorure de cyanuryle avec un équivalent dacide para-aminobenzoïque, mise en réaction de lintermédiaire obtenu avec deux équivalents de 4-aminobenzoate de 2-éthylhexyle, activation du groupe carboxy, par exemple par formation de chlorure dacyle, et mise en réaction finale avec la tert-butylamine. Le composé selon linvention est un filtre UV-B qui peut être utilisé avantageusement dans des formulations cosmétiques.
