PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a crop, especially a rice, obtained by considering global environment and having high productivity by improving nitrogen transporter which is a transporter of a nitrogen source. SOLUTION: The transformed plant having an improved ammonium-absorbing ability, more precisely, the plant transformed by introducing a gene of the ammonium transporter which is an ammonium transporter of a plant and the expression of which is induced by the existence condition of an ammonium ion is provided.
