PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper whose peripheral edge of a waist opening does not stimulate the skin and which is improved so that the edge is hard to turn up.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper has a vertical direction and a horizontal direction X which cross each other in a worn state and includes: a front waist area 11 a rear waist area a crotch area 13 positioned between the front and rear waist areas a waist opening a pair of leg openings and an absorber 42 extending from the crotch area to the front waist area and the rear waist area. In at least one waist areas of the front and rear waist areas, a plurality of waist elastic bodies 24 horizontally extending in a stretched state between an upper end in the vertical direction of the absorber and a peripheral edge of the waist opening and reaching both side edge parts of the waist areas are arranged in parallel to form an elastic area 25.
