A reduced-pressure system for delivering reduced pressure for medical purposesto a desired site and to receive fluidsin one instance includes a reservoir (224) having an interior space (230)operable to contain the fluids. A reduced-pressuredelivery conduit (222) is placed in fluid communication with the interiorspace (230) for delivering the reduced pressure to thedesired site. A source conduit (236) and a pressure sensor conduit (246) areplaced in fluid communication with the interior space(230). A pressure sensor (246) is placed in fluid communication with thepressure sensor conduit (242). A reduced-pressuresource (248) is placed in fluid communication with the source conduit. Areduced- pressure control (260) unit is associated withthe pressure sensor (254) and the reduced-pressure source (248) and isoperable to receive pressure data from the pressure sensorand supply data from the reduced- pressure source and to determine when areservoir-full/blockage condition exists. Other systemsand methods are presented.
