PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the loss of important radiographic images the least possible level even when an unexpected power failure occurs.

SOLUTION: Each radiographic image produced by a sensor 120 is temporarily stored in a first storage 111, and each radiographic image stored in the first storage 111 undergoes an image analysis by an image analysis section 112. Based upon the analytical results by the image analysis section 112, the radiographic images are each given their importance level by an importance-level determination section 113. Then, according to their importance levels judged by the importance-level determination section 113, some radiographic images stored in the first storage 111 are transferred by an image transfer section 114 to a second storage 115. The importance levels of the unsent radiographic images left in the first storage 111 are updated by the importance-level determination section 113 based on the radiographic images transferred by the image transfer section 114.
