An assistant device and a method for amblyopia person is disclosed. The assistant device of this invention includes a scanning unit, a processing unit, and a display unit. The scanning unit scans the surroundings in the center of the location of the amblyopia person, and builds the 3D module of the surroundings. The processing unit distinguishes the obstruction of the 3D module of the surroundings, and coverts the 3D image of the obstruction and the 3D image of a safety area into the 2D images which could be recognized by the amblyopia person.
