PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral composition which permits the use of a small amount of a zinc ion without affecting the activity of the zinc ion under a use environment in order to solve a problem that, in a tooth paste agent containing a liquid vehicle which provides an oxide zinc particle and desired consistency, convergence performance and uncomfortable feeling are continued for a long time though the tooth paste agent is useful.SOLUTION: There are provided an oral composition comprising a vehicle and a zinc ion source in the form of nanoparticles that are substatially non-aggregated and methods for use of such compositions. In the composition, there are blended the therapeutic agents selected from the group consisting of triclosan, stannous ion, fluoride, arginine salt, cetylpyridinium salt, honokiol and magnolol.
