PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a life of a bulb by preventing excessive anode rotation and minimize delay between an imaging instruction and an imaging start.SOLUTION: An X-ray imaging apparatus includes an imaging part equipped with a rotary anode X-ray tube device and an X-ray detector, a control part for controlling operation of the imaging part, an operation tool operated by an operator, and an input device for causing the rotary anode X-ray tube device to be operated by the operation of the operation tool and sending a command to start X-ray exposure to the control part. Furthermore, the X-ray imaging apparatus includes a sensor for detecting the approach of an object in the operation tool itself or in its vicinity.
