PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical spacer for a bird prevention apparatus that can reliably keep an interval between a bird preventing thin wire and a drop optical cable and can be reliably assembled between existing thin wires and drop optical cables.SOLUTION: In the spacer configured to interpose between a bird preventing thin wire 10 and a drop optical cable 11 extended between utility poles in horizontal juxtaposition to keep a constant interval between both lines 10, 11 and prevent birds from perching on the drop optical cable 11, an upper end of a spacer portion 1 comprising a bent metal rod and having a length matching the interval connects to a helical stop portion 2 into which an existing thin wire can be passed via a helical pitch clearance. A lower end connects, on the other hand, to a helical support portion 3 into which an existing drop optical cable 11 can be passed via a helical pitch interval.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 防鳥用の細線とドロップ光ケーブルとの間の間隔を確実に保持し、しかも、既設の細線とドロップ光ケーブルにわたして確実に組付けることができる、実用上好適な、鳥類防止装置の間隔保持材を提供する。【解決手段】 電柱間に上下に並べて張架した防鳥用の細線10とドロップ光ケーブル11との間に介在させ、両線間10,11の間隔を一定に保持して前記ドロップ光ケーブル11に鳥類が留まるのを阻止するものであって、金属杆を屈曲形成して成り、前記間隔に見合う長さのスペーサ部1の上端に、既設の前記細線を螺旋形のピッチ間隙を利用して内嵌して挿通できる螺旋状係止部2を連設する。また、下端には既設の前記ドロップ光ケーブル11を螺旋形のピッチ間隙を利用して内嵌して挿通できる螺旋状受支部3を連設する。【選択図】 図2
