Single phase hair conditioning agent comprises: (a) a cationic copolymer comprising an alkyl ammonium monomer of formula ((R1-CH=C(R2)-C(=O)-O-(CH 2) n-N +>(R3)(R4)-R5) (A ->)) (I) and an amine monomer of formula (R6-CH=C(R7)-C(=O)-N(R8)-R9) (II) (b) at least one amine compound of formula (R13-N(R11)(R12)) (III) and/or at least one ammonium compound of formula ((R8a-N +>(R5a)(R6a)-R7a) (X ->)) (IV) and (c) a carrier. R1-R9 : H, 1-4C-alkyl (preferably methyl, ethyl, propyl, iso-propyl, butyl, iso-butyl or tert-butyl), where at least one of R6-R9 is 1-4C-alkyl n : 1-8 A ->anion such as halide (preferably fluoride, chloride, bromide or iodide), hydrogen sulfate or methosulfate R11, R12 : H or 1-4C-lower alkyl R13 : R14-CO(NH)-(CH 2) n1- R14 : optionally saturated, optionally branched 7-21C-alkyl chain n1 : 0-4 three residue of R5a-R8a : 1-4C-lower alkyl, and one of R5a-R8a is optionally saturated, optionally branched 8-30C-alkyl chain and X u>halide or a methosulfate group. An independent claim is included for a cosmetic process for hair caring, comprising spraying the agent on a dry or wet hair, preferably cleansing the hair and leaving the agent on the hair until the next cleaning.
