This portable endoscope 1 is provided with: an operation part 3 disposed on the proximal side of an insertion part 2 an image display device 4 provided with a display unit 6 having an image display screen 6a and a device main body 5 having a main body attachment part 5a which is disposed on the upper surface 3U of the operation part 3 a fluid socket 8 provided on the left side surface 6L of the operation part and a suction valve 9 or a gas supply adapter having a tube connection part 9b which is attached to the fluid socket 8. The main body attachment part 5a of the device main body 5 is disposed at a predetermined position deviated from a center portion 5C of the device main body 5.
