A medical device tray for carrying a plurality of medical devices, said medical device tray comprising:a base made of a substantially rigid material, especially stainless steel said base forming at least one base through-hole, said at least one base through-hole having an associated visual indicator；a covering affixed to said base, said covering being made of a material especially biocompatible silicone which is softer than said substantially rigid material of said base and substantially transparent, said covering forming at least one covering through-hole, said at least one base through-hole and said at least one covering through-hole cooperating to form at least one medical device tray through-hole configured for directly supporting a respective one of the plurality of medical devices.
