The purpose of the present invention is to achieve intended spray characteristics when spraying a pharmaceutical formulation with prescribed characteristics using a nasal spray nozzle that is used in a metered dose syringe sprayer. The present invention relates to a nasal spray nozzle that is used in a medical syringe with a tip opening, which is in fluid communication with a syringe barrel that is holding a pharmaceutical formulation. The nasal spray nozzle is characterized in: being provided with a hollow nozzle body with a tip in which a nozzle spray hole is formed, a solid filling rod disposed inside the nozzle body, and a nozzle chamber, which is formed between the filling rod and the nozzle body and which allows fluid communication between the tip opening and the nozzle spray hole； the pharmaceutical formulation containing a gel base, which includes a carboxyvinyl polymer and a viscosity modifier and the viscosity of which has been modified by applying an external shearing force； and the nozzle spray hole having a diameter of 0.25 mm - 0.30 mm.
