To provide a hybrid coffin which is lightweight compared to a total wooden coffin and has excellent flammability at cremation but has a majestic splendor.In a hybrid coffin (1), a side plate of a box-shaped main body (2) is made of paper. Therefore, compared with a wooden coffin having a main body and a lid in total wooden, it can be reduced in weight, and transportability can be enhanced. Moreover, since the side plates surrounding the four sides of the body at the time of cremation are easy to burn, it is possible to shorten the time required from the start of cremation until the flame reaches the bodies and, in turn, the time required for cremation can be shortened. On the other hand, the bottom plate and the lid 3 for opening and closing the top surface of the main body are made of natural wood. Therefore, compared to a hybrid casket made of paper, the main body and the lid can exhibit majestic splendor and luxury, and it is possible to demonstrate designs preferred by many people.(FIG.【課題】総木製の棺と比較して軽量で火葬時の燃焼性に優れていながら、荘厳な華麗さを有する、ハイブリッド棺を提供する。【解決手段】ハイブリッド棺1は、箱型の本体2の側板が紙製である。そのため、本体および蓋が総木製である木棺と比較して、軽量化することができ、運搬性を高めることができる。しかも、火葬時に遺体の四方を取り囲む側板が燃焼しやすいので、火葬開始から遺体に火炎が届くまでに要する時間を短縮でき、ひいては火葬に要する時間を短縮することができる。一方、底板および本体の上面を開閉する蓋3は天然木製である。そのため、本体および蓋が総紙製のハイブリッド棺と比較して、荘厳な華麗さおよび高級感を出すことができ、多くの人に好まれる意匠性を発揮することができる。【選択図】図1
