PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire having a high-adhesion coating layer made of a hydrophilic resin.SOLUTION: A guide wire 10 includes: a core shaft 14 a coil body 60 formed by winding at least one wire therearound and enclosing a distal end 30 of the core shaft 14 a groove part formed on an outer surface of the wire 61 forming the coil body 60 and a coating layer 80 made of a resin for covering the coil body 60.
