CONSTITUTION: A composition for treating inflammatory bowel diseases contains aloin as an active ingredient. The active ingredient is contained in 0.001-15 weight%. The composition is a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition. The food composition is beverage. The composition also contains 0.001-15 weight% of aloe gel as an active ingredient.본 발명은 알로인, 알로에신 또는 알로에 겔을 이용한 염증성 장 질환 개선제 조성물을 개시한다. 알로인, 알로에신 또는 알로에 겔은 DSS로 염증성 장 질환이 유도된 실험동물의 결장 점막 조직의 결실을 예방하는 효과를 가지며, 장 손상 동물 모델에서 염증 정도의 지표로 이용되는 미엘로퍼옥시다제의 활성을 낮추며, 염증 매개 물질인 류코트리엔 B4, TNF-α 및 PGE2 혈장 농도를 낮출 뿐만 아니라 유전자 수준에서도 TNF-α와 IL-β의 발현을 억제하는 활성을 가지고 있다.
