PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that absorbs urine quickly, prevents side leakage, and improves the dry feeling of a surface material after water absorption.SOLUTION: A polymeric sheet 15 with a resin layer 14 containing a superabsorbent polymer is arranged between a liquid-permeable surface sheet 3 and an absorber 4. The liquid-permeable surface sheet 3 and the polymeric sheet 15 are subjected to embossing, while being laminated on the absorber 4, from the surface side of the liquid-permeable surface sheet 3, and thereby a recessed groove 22 extending to a skin side along the longitudinal direction is formed.
