Therefore, the hinokitiol compound can be usefully used as an antifungal composition, a plant disease controlling composition, etc.본 발명은 히노키티올(hinokitiol)을 포함하는 식물병 방제용 조성물 또는 항진균용 조성물 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 히노키티올(β-thujaplicin) 화합물은 편백으로부터 분리된 물질로서 균핵병의 원인균인 S. sclerotiorum, 모잘록병의 원인균인 R. solani AG-4, 역병의 원인균인 P. capsici, 탄저병 원인균인 C. coccodes, 점무늬병 원인균인 S. solani,검은곰팡이병 원인균 A. alternata 및 흰가루병 원인균인 Sphaerothecafusca등을 포함하는 다양한 식물 병원균에 대해 우수한 항진균 효과를 가지고 있는바, 항진균용 조성물 및 식물병 방제용 조성물 등으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
