Method of determining the magnification of an x-ray image of an object, or a portion of an object, comprising: (i) providing to the object to be x-rayed (ii) providing a first posterior x-ray marker having pre-determined dimension (iii) providing anteriorly to the object to be x-rayed, a second x-ray marker having predetermined dimensions (iv) recording an x-ray image of the object and the first and second x-ray markers and (v) comprising a dimension of the first x-ray marker recorded on the image, a dimension of the second x-ray marker recorded on the image to a pre-determined value for the object x-rayed, to estimate the magnification of the image of the object.Linvention porte sur un procédé de détermination du grossissement dune image par rayons X dun objet, ou dune partie dun objet, comprenant : (i) lirradiation dun objet par des rayons X (ii) l’ajout dun premier marqueur de rayons X postérieur dont une dimension est prédéterminée (iii) l’ajout, avant que lobjet ne soit irradié par des rayons X, dun second marqueur de rayons X dont les dimensions sont prédéterminées (iv) lenregistrement dune image par rayons X de lobjet et des premier et second marqueurs de rayons X et (v) linclusion dune dimension du premier marqueur de rayons X enregistrée sur limage, dune dimension du second marqueur de rayons X enregistrée sur limage à une valeur prédéterminée pour lobjet irradié par rayons X, afin destimer le grossissement de limage de lobjet.
