The therapeutic compositions comprise an adiponectin peptidomimetic compound, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Also provided are methods for alleviating one or more symptoms or clinical signs of dry eye or an ocular disease associated with inflammation in a subject in need thereof.
