The present invention relates to an Oryza sativa tat pathway signal sequence family protein gene (OsTat1) gene for increasing the resistance to plant disease, especially, the resistance to bacterial leaf blight of rice, and to uses thereof. The plant transformed with OsTat1 gene derived from rice having the plant disease resistance of the present invention has increased resistance to plant diseases compared to wild type plants, thereby being effective for increasing crop yield.본 발명은 식물병, 특히, 벼의 흰잎마름병 저항성을 증가시키는 OsTat1 (Oryza sativa tat pathway signal sequence family protein gene)유전자 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 식물병 저항성을 갖는 벼 유래의 OsTat1유전자가 형질전환된 식물체는 야생형 식물체에 비해 식물병에 대한 저항성이 증가되므로, 농작물의 수확량의 증대에 효과적이다.
