PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray type seedling transplanter of riding type which secures a stable working space for supplying and discharging a seedling tray and is composed of a compact size to suppress the whole machine body length to the minimum limit.SOLUTION: The tray type seedling transplanter is composed of a seedling tray conveying apparatus 5 equipped with a bent transport pathway 5c to transport the flexible tray so as to be U-turned to a supply side and forming a tray supplying and discharging part 5a at one end side and a seedling taking out part 5b positioned on the bent transport pathway at the other side, a seedling taking out apparatus 6 facing the seedling taking out part 5b and taking out seedlings from a tray, a planting apparatus 7 for receiving and planting the seedlings in a field and a traveling machine body 4 for loading these transplanting apparatuses.
