Provided is an air purifying device (10) equipped with: a case (11) having an air intake opening (17) and an air exhaust opening (18)； and a plate material (13) arranged inside the case (11) and having an adsorbent, and a photocatalyst deposited on the surface on at least one side thereof, wherein the case (11) has a light entry window (14), and the plate material (13) is arranged with the surface on at least one side thereof facing the light entry window (14), along a air flow passage formed between the air intake opening (17) and the air exhaust opening (18). There is provided thereby an air purifying device (10) having outstanding purifying capability and low running costs.
