A line lock includes a body (10) at least partially bounding a primary passageway, a secondary passageway, and a working passageway. In one embodiment at least a portion of the working passageway is disposed between the primary passageway and the secondary passageway such that a geometric line segment extending between the primary passageway and the secondary passageway intersects with working passageway. A line (100) extends through the primary passageway, the secondary passageway and then through the working passageway such that a relative compression section of the line (100) is formed between the primary passageway and the secondary passageway.
