PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect biological information such as breathing states of an examinee while taking bath in a noncontact way without giving sense of incongruity.SOLUTION: A detection system S1 for breathing state is provided with a pair of electrodes 21 and 22 disposed on an inner circumferential wall of a bath 10 in which the examinee H sits, a power source 31 to apply AC voltage between the electrodes 21 and 22, an impedance measuring device 33 to measure an impedance value between the electrodes 21 and 22, and a control device 40 to carry out processes for analyzing time-based change of the impedance value, and determining whether or not there is fluctuation of the impedance value caused by inhalation and expiration of the examinee H.
