PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose methods of regenerating atrioventricular valves to replace defective atrioventricular valves within a heart of a subject using an extracellular matrix (ECM) material conduits, and also to disclose methods of sterilizing and decellularizing the ECM material.SOLUTION: A sterilized and decellularized ECM material conduit 10 defines a lumen 12, an inlet portion 14 comprises an inlet 16 of the lumen, and an outlet portion 18 comprises an outlet of the lumen.
