The present invention provides a method for inhibiting cell growth, a nucleic acid molecule useful as an anticancer agent, and a method for screening novel anticancer agents. In the present invention, inhibitory effects on expression of NEK10 variant gene or inhibitory effects on activity of NEK10 variant protein are obtained in cells by transfecting cells with a nucleic acid molecule having an RNA interference effect on NEK10 variant gene. The present invention also provides a method for screening anticancer agents by using this inhibitory effect as an indicator.본 발명은 세포 증식 억제 방법, 항암제로 유용한 핵산 분자, 및 신규 항암제를 스크리닝하는 방법을 제공한다. 본 발명에 있어서, NEK10 변이체 유전자 발현 억제 효과 또는 NEK10 변이체 단백질의 활성 억제 효과는 세포에서 핵산 분자 NEK10 변이체 유전자에 대한 RNA 간섭 작용을 갖는 세포를 도입함에 의하여 얻을 수 있다. 본 발명은 또한 이 억제 효과를 지표로 하여 항암제를 스크리닝하는 방법을 제공한다.
