PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light detection unit, a biological information detector, and the like which can improve detection performance while inhibiting incidence of the light from a light emission part to a light reception part.SOLUTION: A light detection unit includes: a light emission part 150 which emits light to an object a light reception part 140 which receives the light from the object and a shade member 70 which shades at least the light reception part 140. The shade member 70 includes a shade wall 100 which is formed by sheet metal working of metals and is provided between the light emission part 150 and the light reception part 140 so as to block the incident light from the light emission part 150 into the light reception part 140.
