PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating an origin of Japanese wheat.
SOLUTION: The method analyzes respective amounts of rubidium, strontium, molybdenum, manganese, cobalt and nickel contained in a wheat sample, and uses analytical information thereof to discriminate an origin of the wheat sample. The method comprises the steps of: (i) acid-decomposing a wheat sample to prepare a solution mainly containing an inorganic component; (ii) measuring respective amounts of rubidium, strontium, molybdenum, manganese, cobalt and nickel in the solution prepared at the step (i); and (iii) comparing the amounts of rubidium, strontium, molybdenum, manganese, cobalt and nickel obtained at the step (ii) with the amounts of the same elements in a wheat sample from an origin of a discrimination target.
