The present invention relates to a safety cap for a syringe. More specifically, the safety cap includes: a body which has an insertion hole formed to open to one side in order to insert a syringe needle arranged on a luer lock tip； a grip unit formed on the center of the exterior of the body to enable a user to grip the body； and a protection unit which is formed on an end of the body having the opened insertion hole arranged therein to protrude to the outside in order to prevent a hand gripping the grip unit from being pricked by the syringe needle. The present invention can protect the user&prime；s hand from being pricked by the syringe needle to prevent safety accidents and secondary infection which are derived from the blood of a patient and a drug. The present invention also applies a familiar usage method, which is always used by the users in the medical field in order to ensure user convenience and to enable the users to comfortably, safely, and quickly use the syringe even in an emergency situation, on the move, and to a moving patient.본 발명은 주사기용 안전캡에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 루어록 팁에 구비된 주사 바늘이 삽입되기 위한 삽입공이 일측으로 개방되도록 형성된 몸통, 상기 몸통의 중간 외측에 형성되어 상기 몸통을 파지하기 위한 파지부 및 개방된 상기 삽입공이 형성된 상기 몸통의 일단부에 외측으로 돌출 형성되어 상기 파지부를 파지하는 손이 주사 바늘에 찔리는 것을 방지하기 위한 보호부를 포함하여 이루어진다.상기와 같은 본 발명에 의하면, 주사 바늘에 찔리지 않도록 사용자의 손을 보호할 수 있어 안전사고를 방지할 수 있음은 물론, 이로 인해 약물 및 환자의 혈액으로부터 유래되는 2차 감염을 방지할 수 있다. 또한 의료 현장에 있는 사용자들이 늘 써오던 익숙한 사용방식을 그대로 적용하여 사용상의 편의성을 제공할 수 있고, 촌각을 다투는 응급 상황이나, 이동 중인 상황이나, 환자가 움직이는 상황 등에서도 마음 놓고, 안전하면서도 빠르게 주사기를 다룰 수 있도록 해준다.
