PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of further effectively avoiding a contact of discharged humor with a skin of a wearer by making heads of floating leg gathers (FLG) softly and uniformly contact with the skin of the wearer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes: a sheet-like leak prevention body an at least one-layer absorbent article body disposed on the upper part of the leak prevention body and having absorber capable of absorbing the humor and a pair of left/right FLGs disposed across the absorbent article body from the longitudinal front end, via a front body piece, a crotch part, and a back body piece to the rear end. Each FLG includes head parts with elasticity, and suspension parts continued from the head parts. Each head part includes a stretchable body configured to have two or more elastic yarns disposed in the longitudinal direction, and a bulky member having a cushioning property, and in which the elastic fibers and the bulky member are at least partially overlappedly disposed. When being worn, the head parts of the FLGs come into contact with the skin of a wearer and holds a state where the skin of the wearer and the absorber are spaced apart.
