The invention relates to an inhaler permitting improved actuation anddesigned for inhalation of powdery medicaments from capsules which, prior touse, are inserted into a capsule holder arranged in the inhaler. Afterinserting thecapsule into the capsule holder, the patient can press an actuating elementwhichcan be set in motion from a rest position and which in doing so engages withatleast one needle that can pierce into the capsule holder. With the aid of theatleast one needle, the capsule is punctured and the medicament is released.According to the invention, the object is achieved by an inhaler with animprovedactuating element (7, 10).
