PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure subcutaneous fat thickness by minimizing deformation of tissue caused when an electrode is pressed against the body.SOLUTION: When the state where resistance R is smaller than 100 &Omega (S13), reactance X is smaller than 15 &Omega (S14) and a ratio R/X is smaller than 30 (S15) continues for three times, the third measured value is defined as a reference value (S18-S20).
