A method of operating an environmental control system (200), said environmental control system including at least one processor (220), at least one nontransitory processor-readable medium (222a, 222b), which is communicatively coupled to the at least one processor and which stores at least one of executable instructions or data for the at least one processor, and a plurality of active subsystems (204, 206, 208, 2010, 212, 214) operable to effect a condition in a habitable space, said method comprising receiving identifying information by the at least one processor, the identifying information which uniquely identifies an individual who will occupy a habitable space; and adjusting, by the at least one processor, at least one respective operational parameter of at least two different ones of the active subsystems of the habitable space during at least a portion of a period of time that the individual will occupy the habitable space based at least in part on at least one attribute, trait or characteristic of the individual uniquely identified by the received identifying information.
