PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical composition for submucosal infusion, which is inexpensive, has excellent ability to raise the mucosa, and preferably is easily discharged from a puncture needle for an endoscope.SOLUTION: Provided is a medical composition for submucosal infusion in endoscopic mucosal resection or endoscopic submucosal dissection. The composition comprises alginic acid with a weight average molecular weight of 200,000 or more or a medically acceptable salt thereof and a solvent, and is liquid.
