PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for hair or skin which is discharged from a container without gas pressure in a foam state, causes only a slight irritation to the mucous membrane of the eye, has a good quality of the foam, hardly causes clogging of a porous membrane within the foam discharging container.SOLUTION: The invention provides a detergent composition which contains the following (A)-(C), and is discharged in a foam state: (A) 3-20 mass% of sulfosuccinic acid polyoxyethylene fatty acid ethanol amide salt represented by the following formula (I) (B) 1-10 mass% of fatty amide propylbetaine represented by following formula (II) and (C) 3-30 mass% of polyhydric alcohol which is liquid at normal temperature and ordinary pressure. In the formulas, RCO represents a fatty acid residue of carbon number 8-22, n represents 2-10, and Xrepresents an alkali metal ion.
