PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging system which is superior in portability and for which an X-ray source and an X-ray image detector are easily positioned as well.SOLUTION: The X-ray imaging system 10 includes an X-ray generator 11, an electronic cassette 12, a holding arm 13, a PC 14, and a controller 15. The X-ray generator 11 includes an X-ray source 17, a high voltage generator 18, and an irradiation switch 19. The X-ray source 17 is attached to the distal end of the holding arm 13. A fitting part 26a is provided on the lower end part of the holding arm 13. The fitting part 26a is fitted to an opening 24a of a handle part 24 provided on a casing 12b of the electronic cassette 12, and the X-ray source 17, the holding arm 13 and the electronic cassette 12 are integrated. By the integration, the X-ray source 17 and the incidence plane 12a of the electronic cassette 12 are positioned, and the need of positioning in setup is eliminated.
