PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus with grips, capable of minimizing such a possibility that a swivel arm comes into contact with a subject to have X-ray imaging by making the subject naturally drop the shoulders.SOLUTION: In an X-ray imaging apparatus including a pair of grips 106 held by a subject at the time of imaging, the pair of grips 106 is positioned lower than the shoulders of the subject during imaging. Further, a cross-sectional shape orthogonally crossing a longitudinal axis L of the grip 106 is configured to have a first long axis 152 and a first short axis 154 orthogonally crossing the first long axis 152, and a shape of a lower end face of the grip 106 is configured to have a second long axis 202 and a second short axis orthogonally crossing the second long axis 202.
