The present invention relates to a composition for diagnosis and treatment of recurrent thyroid cancer comprising a recombinant human thyroid stimulating hormone (rhTSH), and to a method for purifying the rhTSH. The method for purifying the rhTSH, according to the present invention, can purify the rhTSH exhibiting excellent purification yield and purity, and results in an excellent quality and activity of purified rhTSH.
