PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially evenly dry a material to be treated in an upper area of a drying chamber and a material to be treated in a lower area by effectively circulating air dried at a comparatively high temperature throughout a whole of the drying chamber.
SOLUTION: Plural agitation fans 30 are provided on an inner face of the drying chamber 12 carrying out drying by a dehumidification machine 26, and a crossflow duct 40 having an upper end opening adjacent to blow openings of the agitation fans 30a-30e installed on a ceiling 22 of the drying chamber and a lower end opening near a bottom face of the drying chamber is attached to a side face. By forcibly moving high temperature dry air accumulated in an upper part in the drying chamber near the bottom face of the drying chamber via the crossflow duct, the temperature and humidity in the drying chamber are uniformed. A blast from the side face installed fans toward an interior center acts to prevent rising movement of the high temperature dry air with respect to the high temperature dry air discharged from the lower end opening 42 of the crossflow duct.
