USE OF BILE ACID OR BILE SALT FATTY ACIDS CONJUGATES FOR THE PREPARATION OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS FOR REDUCING CHOLESTEROL, TREATING FATTY LIVER AND TREATING HYPERGLYCEMIA AND DIABETES
Use of a bile acid or bile salt fatty acid conjugate of general formula II W-X-G in which G is a bile acid or bile salt radical, which, if desired, is conjugated in position 24 with an amino acid, W stands for one or two fatty acid radicals having 14-22 carbon atoms and X stands for a suitable bonding member or for a direct C=C bond between said bile acid or bile salt radical and the fatty acid(s) or of a phannaceutical composition comprising same for the manufacture of a medicament for the reduction of the cholesterol in blood and for the treatment of hyperglycemia and diabetes, wherein said suitable bonding member provides a solid bond that is not substantially deconjugated during the absorption process of the conjugate.S a m m e n d r a g Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår anvendelsen av et gallesyre- eller gallesaltfettsyrekonjugat med den generelle formel II W - X - G der G er en gallesyre- eller gallesaltrest som, hvis ønskelig, er konjugert i posisjon 24 med en egnet aminosyre, W betyr en eller to fettsyrerester med 14-22 karbonatomer og X betyr en egnet bindingsdel eller en direkte C=C binding mellom nevnte gallesyre- eller gallesaltrest og fettsyren(e) eller av et farmasøytisk preparat omfattende disse, for reduksjon av kolesterol i blod, for behandling av fettlever, hyperglykemi og diabetes.
