The lens configured to be implanted into the human eye may include an optical portion comprising a transparent material. The optical portion may have a front surface and a back surface. The front surface is convex and the rear surface is concave so that the optics are meniscus shaped. Each of the convex anterior surface and the concave posterior surface may have surface vertices. The optics may have an optical axis passing through the surface vertex and have a thickness between about 100 and 700 micrometers along the optical axis. The lens according to the present disclosure may also include a haptic disposed around the optic to fix the optic to the eye when implanted in the eye.
